BARBARA AS A LEADER
The importance lies not in being in charge but in taking care of those in your charge.
Leadership is not about individual success but about team success.
Great leaders inspire teams, lead by example, and create a space where everyone feels valued and empowered.
The future of leadership is rooted in empathy, adaptability, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
When I think of a leader, I think of someone who leads by example, mentors others, and uplifts those around them.
LEADERSHIP ISN'T ABOUT HAVING POWER.
IT'S ABOUT CARING FOR YOUR TEAM AND SUPPORTING THEM TO SUCCEED.

BARBARA ON WORK LIFE BALANCE
Set clear boundaries between work and personal life. Designate specific times for work tasks and family activities and stick to them. Prioritize self-care by incorporating activities that recharge you, like exercise, hobbies, meditation, or simply relaxing. Remember, taking care of yourself enables you to be more present and effective both at work and at home.
BARBARA ON MAKING IT IN MALE-DOMINATED INDUSTRIES
One of the most significant challenges women often face in male-dominated industries is the need to prove their competencies more rigorously than their male counterparts. To navigate this, itโs crucial for women to consistently showcase their expertise and achievements. Building a strong professional network is essential, as it can provide support, mentorship, and open doors to new opportunities. Additionally, women should seek out and take on high-visibility projects to demonstrate their capabilities and increase their visibility within the organization. Lastly, maintaining confidence and resilience, even in the face of bias and stereotypes, is vital for long-term success and career advancement.
TO BECOME A BETTER LEADER, CONTINUOUSLY EVALUATE YOUR TEAM'S WELL-BEING, MAINTAIN AN OPEN-DOOR POLICY AND SHOW APPRECIATION EVEN WHEN IT'S UNEXPECTED
